Evergreen Eye Look: Holiday 2012 Series

There is now snow on the ground (where I live anyway) and when you look outside there is not a lot of color.  However, the evergreen trees pop with the snowy background. When I smell pine needles from the evergreen trees it make me think of Christmas, so I thought I would put together an eyeshadow look inspired by Evergreens.

What I Used

What I used for using the eyeshadow wet/damp

1.) Primed your eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion (any primer will work).  This is optional but I really do find it makes a difference. (Long day at school, work, out on the town or all of the above)
2.) Highlight the inner corner & brow bone using a light cream matte color
3.) Use a light warm brown in your crease.  This seems pointless, but it really does make a difference.
4.) Maybelline Color Tattoo in Ready Set Green as a base for the outer 1/3 of the lid and out half of the lower lash line.  Alternative are listed at the end.  This is optional but it does help the colors pop.

5.) Use a light white cream shadow or pencil as a base for the inner 1/3 of the lid (I used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Cottage Cheese)
6.) Highlight inner corner with a light cream shade - Hard Candy in Infatuation
7.) Maybelline Duo Baked Eyeshadow in Ivy Icon  I used this wet (damp brush) on the lower lash line and outer 1/2 of the lid
8.) Curl Lashes (I used Sally Hansens eye curler)
9.) Line your upper lash line with a brown liquid liner (I used Loreal Linear Intense in brown)
10.) Optional ... line your lower waterline with a cream eyeliner (safe for the waterline)
11.) Add Mascara

You are good to go!

Good Alternatives/Options for the eyeshadow base:

  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil: #607 Horse Raddish
  • Ulta's Eye Crayon: Rich
